About Lorick Hatchery
Raising healthy, happy poultry with integrity, innovation, and care β since 1985 π
Our Roots & Our Purpose
Lorick Hatchery was founded in 1985 by Karen Meyer, a young mother balancing family life with a passion for raising chickens on her dairy farm in Polk, Ohio. What began as a simple hobby quickly transformed into something far greater β a mission to provide healthy, ethically raised poultry to families, farms, and educators across the country.
Through decades of dedication, family values, and hands-on experience, Lorick Hatchery has grown into a trusted, industry-leading hatchery while remaining faithful to its small-farm roots.
Today, we proudly offer more than 160 poultry breeds, including chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, guineas, and game birds β supported by a complete line of feed, supplies, and educational resources.
